PHARMACY LICENSE RENEWAL AND NEW APPLICATIONS
It has come to the attention of the PHARMACY COUNCIL that certain unsolicited persons are going round the country misinforming the general public and pharmaceutical facility owners, Pharmacists and Pharmacy Support Staff that the PHARMACY COUNCIL is no longer in charge of the renewal of their facility licences.
We wish to inform our stakeholders and the General Public that:
- The renewal of pharmaceutical facility licenses shall continue in 2018 and the subsequent years with the Pharmacy Council as mandated by sections 93, 94, and 95 of the ( Health Professions Regulatory Bodies Act 2013, Act 857
- Applications for new facility licence shall be channeled as usual through our Regional offices.

CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
All registered pharmacists are required to attain a minimum of 10 CPD credits over one year to be able to retain his/her name in the Register of Pharmacists.
All registered pharmacists are therefore required to earn the following types of CPD Credits every year before they will be permitted to practice.
- Minimum of 7 Credits from CPD Categories 1 & 2
- Minimum of 3 Credits from CPD Category 3
